A day of site-specific projects
by students of Wimbledon College of Arts UAL
22nd April 2016
As a shared space since 1949, Cannizaro Park has transitioned from singular ownership to collective ownership. A place that is now open to all to cross its boundary and enjoy. We were in a group which was leading by Antony Dixon. and the concept of this project was to explore people’s movement across territories and how connections to other territories can be made through this migration.
And each member should depicts something from their hometown into their casting piece.
Working with a group of artists, we each made a 16”sq cast of the ground. Points between Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon Library and Wimbledon College of Arts were chosen to cast. In the surface of each cast the artist has place a 2D object. The time place of each cast has been recorded alongside the time and place of the artist’s original encounter with the 2D object. Additionally, a copy of the 2D object has been placed in the location of the cast.

We divided ourselves up into Different teams according to our strengths which including curation, financial, transportation, marketing. Hence, I would like to be in the advertisement and marketing team in order to gain experience and use my skill to the utmost potential.
The large number of artists involved meant that good time management and clear communication between the other teams was vital.

“……..there are many people who will partner with you to move your work forward.”

“If I do have a talent, it’s a talent for choosing the right collaborators”
William Kentridge 2016
Collaboration is an increasingly important element of my practice. Co-working has become inquiry, an approach to illuminate unexpected themes and exciting new areas of research.
Choosing to work with fellow artist Forouzan Nazari has been particularly successful. We come together as improvisors, ready to deal with whatever the other throws into play, challenging one another and making compromises. It is a collision of our respective ideas and concerns that despite their difference appear to work well in collaboration.

Saturday club teaching assistant
I have been selected as an outreach Ambassador through university of the Arts London. This was a great Experience for me to upgrade and swap my past teaching experience , and being familiar with the method of teaching to 14-16 years old students in London. And the teaching method which let the students freely experience and explore materials and their talents was an absolutely valuable experience for me .
-Active promotion of the college through University of The Art London
-Saturday morning clubs and involvement with external organizations.

curating
-Arbeit gallery,
-Final show and
-a show in project space for an external examiner in two separate parts evening and morning
I participate in the mentioned curating activities . That taught me about the space and collecting pieces together base on the subjects and materials , and seting up them beside each others in terms of how they respond to each others conceptually and visually. These curating team works were an entirely new experience which I have learned a lot about it as an artist that how the space is going to effect on our work and thinking about it while we are making art pieces.
